If you have any questions about how we handle your personal data, please contact us at the email address above.
2. What data we collect
We do not operate user accounts, contact forms or any service that requires you to submit personal information directly. We collect only the following categories of data, and only where you have given consent:
Analytics data (via Google Analytics 4)
- IP address (truncated by Google before storage)
- Pages visited and navigation path through the site
- Session duration and time on page
- Device type, operating system and browser
- Approximate geographic location (country/city level, derived from IP)
- Referring URL and traffic source
Behavioural data (via Microsoft Clarity)
- Mouse movements, clicks and scroll depth
- Heatmaps of interaction patterns across pages
- Session recordings (anonymised replays of browsing behaviour)
- Rage clicks, dead clicks and other usability signals
We do not collect or store any financial data entered into our calculators on our servers. All calculator inputs and outputs are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to us.
3. How we collect it
We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) as a tag management system. Analytics and tracking tags are only fired by GTM after you have given explicit consent via our cookie banner. No analytics or behavioural data is collected before consent is obtained.
- Google Analytics 4 — loaded via GTM on consent; sets cookies in your browser to distinguish users and sessions.
- Microsoft Clarity — loaded via GTM on consent; sets cookies in your browser to record session and interaction data.
We do not perform any server-side logging of personal data. Our web server logs are minimal and do not retain identifiable information beyond standard operational requirements.
4. Legal basis for processing
The legal basis for all analytics and behavioural tracking described in this policy is Consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR. We obtain this consent through our cookie consent banner, which is presented to you on your first visit. You may withdraw consent at any time (see section 9 below).
We do not rely on legitimate interests as a basis for any tracking or analytics processing on this site.
5. How we use your data
We use analytics and behavioural data solely to:
- Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve the content and user experience
- Identify which calculators and pages are most useful
- Diagnose usability problems and fix bugs
- Measure the effectiveness of any content improvements over time
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Who we share your data with
We share data only with the following third-party processors, and only where you have consented:
Google LLC (Google Analytics 4)
Analytics data is transmitted to and processed on Google's servers, which may be located in the United States or other countries. Google is certified under adequacy arrangements and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for international data transfers. You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft Clarity)
Session and interaction data is transmitted to and processed on Microsoft's servers, which may be located in the United States or other countries. Microsoft relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other approved transfer mechanisms for international data transfers. You can review Microsoft's privacy practices at privacy.microsoft.com.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party, and we do not share it with any party other than those listed above.
7. Data retention
We do not directly store personal data ourselves beyond what is held in your browser (cookies and local storage, which you control).
- Google Analytics 4 retains user-level data for a maximum of 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted from Google's servers.
- Microsoft Clarity retains session recordings and associated data for 13 months, after which it is automatically deleted.
For the duration of specific cookies set in your browser, please see our Cookie Policy.
8. International transfers
As described in section 6, both Google and Microsoft may process data outside of the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place:
- Reliance on UK adequacy decisions where available
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or the European Commission, as adopted by both Google and Microsoft
You can obtain a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us at contact@poundlogic.co.uk.
9. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data ("the right to be forgotten").

- Right to data portability — you can request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Right to object — you can object to processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interests (though as noted in section 4, we do not rely on legitimate interests for analytics on this site).
- Right to withdraw consent — you can withdraw your consent to analytics and tracking cookies at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. See section 10 below.
- Rights related to automated decision-making — we do not carry out any automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
10. How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of the rights listed above, please email us at contact@poundlogic.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
To withdraw consent for analytics cookies, you can use the "Manage cookies" option in our cookie banner, or clear your browser cookies and local storage. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
